How it all started
ANGULUS was founded in 1904 by Johannes Madsen, who owned a cobbler’s shop on Nørrebrogade in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The new generation
ANGULUS is currently managed by Clara Dawe (Chairwoman) and Sebastian Dawe (CEO). Together, they represent the third generation of the Dawe family entrusted with the responsibility of leading the brand, and the dedicated people behind it, into the future.

In 2020 ANGULUS proudly opened its modern factory nestled in the heart of Portugal’s Aveiro region, becoming an integral part of the local community.
The people behind
Meet Vítor, Andreia, Cristina and Leonel – some of the skilled crafters from our factory. The love for shoemaking runs deep and has been passed down from generation to generation, and some of them have been working on perfecting their craft for decades.
