Danish design and high quality for more than 115 years
ANGULUS was founded in Copenhagen in 1904, and the company quickly set out with the mission to change the shoe industry as it was known. The owner wanted to manufacture shoes of the highest quality from good raw materials, shaped to the foot and produced with comfort in mind. This became the beginning of a revolution in the shoe industry, and the sharp and uncomfortable shoes of the time were gradually replaced by comfortable, foot-shaped footwear that made it easier to move.
ANGULUS showed the world that it is possible to make practical and comfortable footwear that is at the same time attractive, timeless and stylish, and this vision remains at the core of ANGULUS – we design and manufacture natural shoes for natural feet without compromising contemporary fashion.
Our large range of timeless shoes continues to be designed by talented designers in Herlev, just outside Copenhagen, and the shoes are handcrafted in Portugal at our own factory. There, a group of dedicated and skilled shoemakers work with leather and crepe rubber to produce the ANGULUS classics. We also produce vegan shoes made from PIÑATEX®, which is a 100% natural material manufactured from excess pineapple leaves from the harvest.
