Danish design and Danish traditions
ANGULUS was founded in 1904 and started as a small shoemaker's shop on Nørrebrogade in København. The founder's son was a schoolteacher and had noticed how the very pointy and unusual shoes of the time were not healthy for children's feet because of their shape. Furthermore, the shoes of that era restricted children's natural movements, so they couldn't run and play as freely as they wanted. Willy Madsen set out to change that. He designed the foot-shaped shoe in collaboration with the country's doctors and physiotherapists, thereby revolutionizing the shoe industry of the time.
Since then ANGULUS has grown significantly, and today you can find a wide range of high-quality shoes with us. The shoes are still designed in Danmark, so we can guarantee the classic and timeless models that never go out of style here in Danmark and abroad. All our shoes are handcrafted at our own factory in Portugal by some of the country's most skilled shoemakers and from the finest materials.
