Many of our winter boots are made with ANGULUS TEX, which is a membrane laminated between the lining and the upper. The membrane effectively keeps water out, while allowing the foot to breathe, i.e. heat and moisture can escape.
If the socks are still damp after a few hours of play, it is probably because it isn’t cold enough for winter boots. Our woolen winter boots with a TEX membrane are best suited when temperatures approach five degrees Celsius or below. A child's foot can sweat up to 2–3 tablespoons a day – so if it's too warm and the foot is sweating, that can make the socks damp – this moisture therefore comes from the inside and not from the outside due to leaks.
Most of our lambswool-woolen boots come with ANGULUS TEX – however, we also have a few models without it. In the product description you can see whether a boot has ANGULUS TEX.
To ensure that ANGULUS TEX retains its properties, it is important to treat the upper with waterproofing and shoe cream. With proper care of the upper, the TEX membrane ensures the boot stays 100% dry and that the foot can breathe.
ANGULUS uldfoer
All ANGULUS TEX winter boots are woolen with lambswool. It is wonderfully soft, keeps feet warm and creates a good climate inside the boot.
Although the lambswool lining compresses as the boot is worn in, it does take up a little space inside the boot, so you should allow about 1.5 cm for growth when buying winter boots. This way there is room for a thicker sock, as well as for wiggling toes and growing a little over the six months that the boots are in use.
